Sirkka Tapio visual artist
I am a visual artist living in Helsinki, Finland. Wondering of thoughts and sights, working with a space illusions and aiming at the peace.
My visual interests can start from something immaterial or sometimes even very ordinary observation based on time or space experience. I´m also very interested in calling the seeing into question and moving the way of thoughts.
Kuvieni lähtökohta voi olla jokin aineeton tai jopa hyvinkin arkinen aistipohjainen havainto, mikä perustuu usein tila- ja aikakokemukseen vaikkapa rappukäytävässä, metsässä tai kadulla. Olen myös hyvin kiinnostunut taidehistorian kääntelystä osaksi teoksiani ja nähdyn kyseenalaistamisesta, ajatusten liikuttelusta.
Tekniikkani ovat akryyli- ja öljymaalaus, piirustukset, kollaasit sekä installaatiot. Työskentelen yleensä aika hitaasti ja usean työn kanssa samanaikaisesti, minkä koen erittäin antoisana.
